The famous Portland Stone is a type of limestone that has been forming on the Isle of Portland in Dorset for over 150 million years!

Our Portland Fossil Steps are a more textured option with fossil and dark specks within it. It makes a stunning paving and steps, although less refined than other Portland step options we offer. Please be aware that this natural limestone  will have small holes on the surface as pictured.

Due to Portland Stone being a natural quarried product, it can have marks, holes and natural veining, but the great thing is that this does add character to your project and your stone will be unique to you. You will also own your very own piece of British history!

We recommend that you seal your Limestone Portland steps using Lithofin MN Stain-Stop Eco. We also suggest to never put salt on your Limestone, instead use sand if and when needed.
