The famous Portland Stone is a type of limestone that has been forming on the Isle of Portland in Dorset for over 150 million years!

Our Portland Fossil Coping is a more textured option with fossil and dark specks within it. It makes a stunning coping, although less refined that other Portland coping options we offer. Please be aware that this natural limestone will have small holes on the surface as pictured.

Our Portland Fossil Coping is a very durable Portland Stone, with its distinctive fossil formation, it's great for featured elements and paving. We would recommend that you order a free sample to try before you buy on this coping option due to its characteristics. 

Due to Portland Stone being a natural quarried product, it can have marks, holes and natural veining, but the great thing is that this does add character to your project and your stone will be unique to you. You will also own your very own piece of British history!

We recommend that you seal your Limestone Portland coping using Lithofin MN Stain-Stop Eco. We also suggest to never put salt on your Limestone, instead use sand if and when needed.
