Our Hove Edge Sawn Paving offers a contemporary alternative to Brighouse Buff, and its grey-buff colouring and super-smooth look are the ideal companion for modern projects.
Our expert stone masons diamond cut all six sides for a perfectly smooth finish, so beautiful butt-jointing is effortless in every direction. The subtle colour of the stone itself also gives it real movement, adding to the contemporary feel, and if you want to blend it seamlessly with steps, risers, coping stones, paving or pier caps just ask and our stone masons will take care it.
Just bear in mind that a little colour variation and veining is characteristic of this kind of stone, so be sure you’re completely happy before you order. We can send you a complimentary sample or a full slab for a small additional charge, if you can’t get to our yard to see it for yourself.
We also recommend using a stone sealant before you install it if you want to keep the colour true long term. Sealing the stone also helps reduce staining and weathering, as well as adding a bit of extra grip in wet weather, so it’s well worth doing. It’s a simple process but if you would like a bit of advice before you start, just chat to our sales team.
As all of our stone is a quarried natural material, variations may occur in mineral content and there may also be slight marks or veining on the stone.
You can request a free sample of this York Stone product so you can get a feel for the look and texture, and although we try our best to ensure the sample is as close to the product as possible, we are unable to guarantee an exact replication of the sample provided. Please wet your sample to get an idea of how the stone will look when wet.
As with most things in life, they look different when dry or wet, and that's the same with our York Stone! Please see the colour variations icon to see the product when dry and when wet. There may also be a few images in the image gallery to show the difference.
