Our Hove Edge crazy paving patio stone mixes self-faced and riven faced York Stone in the buff and grey tones that have helped make stone from these parts famous around the world.
Just as hard-wearing as full paving slabs, our crazy paving option is a smart and distinctive way of making your budget stretch further whilst getting the same robust quality. All our new Hove Edge stone is hand-selected from our quarry in Halifax and palletised piece by piece, so we know you’re getting best quality and the exact quantity you want.
Because it’s a natural product, each patch of paving will vary in terms of its appearance, so don’t assume every piece will look like the image here. You’re welcome to request a free sample at any time to get a feel for the colour, just click the Order a Sample button below. You can also get a better sense of the range of patterning and colour by looking through our completed projects gallery.
Once you’ve ordered your Hove Edge crazy paving we recommend using at least a 10mm pointing gap, but this may need to be more to allow for non-symmetrical pieces. If you’re laying it in a high traffic area or somewhere with lots of trees or foliage, we also recommend using a natural stone sealant to protect against staining and give it a bit more grip in wet weather.
Please note: Our Hove Edge crazy paving does come with sawn edges.
As all of our stone is a quarried natural material, variations may occur in mineral content and there may also be slight marks or veining on the stone.
You can request a free sample of this York Stone product so you can get a feel for the look and texture, and although we try our best to ensure the sample is as close to the product as possible, we are unable to guarantee an exact replication of the sample provided. Please wet your sample to get an idea of how the stone will look when wet.
As with most things in life, they look different when dry or wet, and that's the same with our York Stone! Please see the colour variations icon to see the product when dry and when wet. There may also be a few images in the image gallery to show the difference.
